Regular Events
The Center for Decoding the Universe (C4DU) hosts a series of regular Monday gatherings connecting people across astrophysics, data science, AI/ML, and related fields. All Stanford affiliates are welcome. We meet at the Computing & Data Science Building (CoDa), with a casual lunch and hangout from 12:00 PM to 1 PM and the day's session beginning at 1:00 PM (Zoom option available for the Journal Club).
Co-Working Time (weekly)
Mondays, 12:00–3:00 PM, CoDa E201. One room, 3 hours, open all summer, including Journal Club and Frontier AI. This is our co-working space, where we collaborate and share ideas.
Journal Club (bi-weekly)
Mondays, 1:00–2:00 PM, CoDa, CoDa E201 (Zoom available). A cross-disciplinary discussion of recent papers and ideas; informal questions encouraged, all welcome.
Frontier AI (monthly)
Mondays, 1:00–2:00 PM, CoDa E201. A monthly session on frontier AI work and its connection to the Center's efforts.
