Kudos to our scholars for their latest contributions!

From new preprints to news features, their work is shaping conversations in data science and beyond. Dive into their papers below!

In a LA Times feature, SDS alumna Emma Krasovich-Southworth shares insights from her research on wildfires and their impacts. Her work continues to shape conversations on this critical issue. Read the article here!

Lijin Zhang had two preprint papers accepted in August! One was accepted by Psychometrika, A Beta Mixture Model for Careless Respondent Detection in Visual Analogue Scale Data, and the other by Behavior Research Methods, Bayesian Factor Mixture Modeling with Response Time for Detecting Careless Respondents.
Note from Lijin: "For the final versions in press, I also acknowledged the support from the SDS fellowship.  I’m very grateful for this support — it made a huge difference in allowing me to focus on this work."

SDS alumni, Roshni Sahoo and Marissa Reitsma, published: Data Fusion for High-Resolution Estimation preprint

Aishwarya Mandyam recently released a new paper on arXiv: PERRY: Policy Evaluation with Confidence Intervals using Auxiliary Data.
