Market Design in the Age of AI: Conference Announcement & Call for Posters

We are delighted to announce the inaugural Market Design in the Age of AI Conference, a new forum dedicated to advancing interdisciplinary research and dialogue at the intersection of algorithm design, economics, machine learning, and operations research.

As digital marketplaces and platforms become increasingly complex and data-driven, AI is playing a growing role in how markets are designed, analyzed, and regulated. This conference brings together leading researchers and industry practitioners to explore these transformations and to share insights on building intelligent, efficient, and equitable market systems.

A Community Bridging Research and Practice

The goal of the conference is to foster a vibrant, interdisciplinary community that connects theory with real-world applications. By convening experts across fields, we aim to catalyze new collaborations and lay the groundwork for future innovations in market and platform design. Over time, we envision this conference serving as a launch pad for novel ideas, research directions, and marketplace innovations emerging from these collaborations.

Call for Posters

As part of the conference, we are hosting a poster session and invite Stanford-affiliated graduate students and postdoctoral fellows to present their work. This is an excellent opportunity to share research with a highly interdisciplinary audience of academics and industry leaders.

We welcome submissions related to:

  • Market design
  • Algorithmic and digital platforms
  • AI in economics
  • Machine learning and operations research
  • Closely related topics

To be considered, please submit a poster title and abstract by January 26 at 5:00 PM (Pacific).

All selected presenters will receive a standardized poster template, and we will cover printing costs for posters submitted by the deadline.
