Welcome to Our 5th Stanford Data Science Scholar Cohort!
Hosted at the Computing & Data Science Building (CoDa), the Stanford Data Science Scholars Program is a multidisciplinary initiative for early-career researchers and trainees from across the university who are driving innovation in data science to address pressing data-intensive challenges. Scholars bring diverse expertise and a shared commitment to advancing methods, sharing knowledge, and applying data science across fields. By fostering collaboration and exchange, the program cultivates a vibrant community that not only reflects the breadth of Stanford’s scholarship but also helps shape the future of research, discovery, and societal impact.
This year’s cohort brings together brilliant researchers from across Stanford, representing a wide range of schools and departments:
- School of Humanities and Sciences – Statistics, Communication, Psychology, Physics, Economics
- School of Engineering – Computer Science, ICME
- School of Medicine – Neurobiology, Biomedical Data Science
They now join the talented group of scholars who began in 2024, with expertise spanning the above schools, as well as:
- Law School
- Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability
- Graduate School of Education
“With every new class of Data Science Scholars, I am inspired by the breadth of their ideas and the depth of their commitment,” says Guido Imbens, Faculty Director of Stanford Data Science. “As data becomes increasingly central to addressing society’s most pressing challenges, their work demonstrates the critical role this community will play in shaping the future.”
