Alisa Liu is a PhD student at the University of Washington. Her research focuses on improving how language models interface with natural language by developing methods for tokenization, at the input level, and decoding-time algorithms, at the output level. She is supported by the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship, and OpenAI Superalignment Fellowship.
