Economics

Amar Venugopal

I am a PhD candidate in Economics at Stanford University, advised by Guido Imbens and Jann Spiess. My research focuses on the intersection of causal inference and machine learning, with an emphasis on developing tools for causal inference in the presence of text data. Prior to beginning my PhD studies, I earned a BS in Physics from Rutgers University and worked in computational finance. In my leisure time I enjoy playing tennis and traveling.
