Anna Thomas
Anna is a computer science PhD candidate at Stanford, advised by Maya Mathur, Dan Jurafsky, and Moses Charikar. Her research develops and applies computational methods - including language models, optimization, and causal inference - to advance human and planetary health, with a focus on sustainable food systems. Areas of interest include sustainable protein design, computational social science of dietary behaviors, and personalized nutrition. Previously, she received her bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Stanford, with a minor in computer science, and her master’s degree in statistics from Cambridge.
