Anubrata Das

Anubrata's research focuses on developing AI systems that help knowledge workers make better decisions while maintaining agency over automated processes. He collaborates with practitioners to co-design AI systems, develops methods for fairness and interpretability, and evaluates resulting AI systems with user studies. At the intersection of NLP and HCI, he has demonstrated how collaborating with domain experts can help build a trustworthy AI ecosystem. His work has been published in venues such as ACL, NAACL, CSCW, and HCOMP, with a best paper honorable mention at CSCW 2024. Anubrata is currently a postdoctoral scholar at the University of Texas at Austin's McCombs School of Business and earned his PhD from the School of Information at UT Austin. His research is also informed by industry experience through responsible AI research internships at Amazon AGI and Cisco Research.
