Anushka Murthy
Anushka is a P.h.D. Candidate in the Management Science and Engineering Department advised by Ramesh Johari and Irene Lo. Her research lies at the intersection of Market Design, Applied Probability, and Data Science. In one direction, she is interested in developing causal inference theory that takes into account dynamic agent interactions as well as economic incentive alignment. In another direction, she is interested in the market structures that arise as AI and data science tools are adopted into operations pipelines. Her current research has focused on studying the impact of economic interference in A/B testing on decision-making in online platforms, as well as designing robust and approximately optimal dynamic contracts for Payment for Ecosystem Services programs. Anushka is excited about developing theory for social good applications, especially in healthcare, education, and sustainability.
Prior to Stanford, Anushka received her B.S. in Applied Math from Columbia University.
