Benjamin Laufer

Benjamin Laufer is a final-year PhD candidate in Computer & Information Science at Cornell Tech, advised by Jon Kleinberg and Helen Nissenbaum. His research combines game-theoretic modeling and large-scale measurement to study how AI ecosystems evolve, with a particular focus on openness, fairness, and governance. Ben's work is supported by a LinkedIn Bowers CIS Fellowship, and a number of awards from INFORMS, Cosmos Institute/FIRE, Digital Life Initiative, and more.
