Brian Hie

Brian Hie is an Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering and The Dieter Schwarz Foundation SDS Faculty Fellow at Stanford University, and an Innovation Investigator at Arc Institute. He supervises the Laboratory of Evolutionary Design, where they conduct research at the intersection of biology and machine learning.

Dr. Hie was previously a Stanford Science Fellow in the Stanford University School of Medicine and a Visiting Researcher at Meta AI. He completed his PhD at MIT CSAIL and was an undergraduate at Stanford University. Dr. Hie has also previously worked at Google X, Illumina, and Salesforce.
