Civil and Environmental Engineering

Conor Doherty

I am a PhD student in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Stanford. In my research, I use satellite remote sensing to analyze agricultural water use. I am particularly interested in the effects of policies like surface water allocations and curtailments on the amount and source of water used for irrigation. Previously, I interned with a group at NASA Ames that works on remote sensing models of evapotranspiration. Prior to my PhD, I worked at a software company and completed an MS in Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon. As an undergrad, I studied math at Stanford.
