I am a postdoctoral researcher studying the sociology of science based on the computational approach, such as utilizing big data, natural language processing, machine learning, and advanced statistical methods. I received the Ph.D. degree from the sociology department at the University of Washington. During my Ph.D., I examined how the emergence of integrated academic search engines has changed how scientists engage with prior scientific literature, using quantitative methods and big data. Here at Stanford, I have been investigating whether gendered research interests contribute to women's underrepresentation in the professoriate.
I have been working with researchers from multi-disciplines, and this experience has broadened and honed my perspective and skills. I am open to research collaboration opportunities; please feel free to email me if you want to talk to me.
