Marissa is a PhD candidate in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. She is a member of the Neuromuscular Biomechanics Laboratory and the Mobilize Center, led by Professor Scott Delp. Broadly, Marissa works to improve mobility in clinical populations through biomechanical and statistical modeling. Her current research leverages medical images and statistical shape modeling to improve the treatment of kneecap instability.
Marissa obtained a B.S. in Engineering from Harvey Mudd College. At Stanford, she enjoys serving as an officer of the Mechanical Engineering Women’s Group. In her spare time, Marissa enjoys eating spicy food, skiing, and playing board games.
