Michelle Ho
I’m a 3rd-year AeroAstro PhD student advised by Prof. Mykel J. Kochenderfer in the Stanford Intelligent Systems Lab (SISL). My research aims to advance trustworthy autonomy without human intervention by integrating planning under uncertainty, failure anticipation, and natural-language explanations, to enable reliable operation in complex environments. Recently, I developed multi-camera anomaly detection methods for cable management manipulation in warehouses, and this previous summer at my internship with Field AI, extended these methods to identify known failure cases and deployed them on a mobile, legged robot for autonomous gauge inspection. Before Stanford, I received my Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, with a minor in Robotics and Intelligence Systems, from Princeton University.
