Sifan Liu

I’m a third year Ph.D. student in the Statistics Department at Stanford University advised by Professor Art Owen. My research focuses on developing numerical integration algorithms using Monte Carlo and quasi-Monte Carlo methods, mainly motivated by applications arising from machine learning. I’m also interested in selective inference after a complex model selection procedure. Moreover, I work on scalable methods for evolutionary genomics. Prior to joining Stanford, I studied mathematics at Tsinghua University.
