Sylvie Dobrota Lai

I am a third year PhD student in the Department of Epidemiology and Population Health. My doctoral research is centered around investigating the biological, environmental and social factors associated with healthy aging, with a focus on stroke survivors. I am interested in leveraging digital technologies to enable older adults to participate in studies remotely despite potential physical or cognitive limitations. Additionally, I want to utilize diverse data sources to measure aging risk factors that are not typically captured in epidemiological studies. Before Stanford, I completed my bachelor’s in Molecular and Cellular Biology, with a concentration in Neuroscience, at UC Berkeley.
