Computational and Mathematical Engineering

Yi-Ting Tsai

Yi-Ting is a PhD candidate in Computational and Mathematical Engineering at Stanford University, advised by Professor Julia Palacios. Her research focuses on the development of mathematical and probabilistic models in the field of phylogenetics, with application to understanding gene mutation dynamics and tracing infectious disease transmission. Prior to Stanford, she completed her undergraduate studies in Mathematics and Finance at National Taiwan University, and earned a Master’s in Health Data Science at Harvard. Outside of research, she enjoys spending time with friends and finds joy in traveling, especially to national parks.
