Yikun Zhang

PhD Candidate, Statistics, University of Washington

Yikun Zhang is a PhD candidate in the Department of Statistics at the University of Washington (UW), advised by Prof. Yen-Chi Chen. His current theoretical research interests lie in nonparametric statistics, optimization on manifolds, high-dimensional inference with missing data, and causal inference for continuous treatments. On the applied side, he is broadly interested in tackling challenging problems in astronomy, particularly those related to detecting and analyzing the large-scale structure of the Universe (i.e., the cosmic web) through statistically principled approaches.
