Johannes Ferstad

Johannes is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Management Science & Engineering, advised by Ramesh Johari and David Scheinker. Prior to Stanford, he worked as a data scientist at Facebook and Nuna. At Nuna, his work focused on measuring the impact of healthcare providers on their patients. 

Broadly, his research interests center on developing methods for data-driven decision making in healthcare. At Stanford, Johannes has focused on applying data science and AI to patient care. Currently, this involves using data from continuous glucose monitors and from patient interactions with health care providers to model and optimize the care of type 1 Diabetes patients at Stanford Children’s Hospital.
