Giving to Stanford Data Science

Stanford Data Science (SDS) was conceived and launched with generous support from university leaders and individual benefactors. Today, SDS relies on philanthropic support from individuals, foundations, and corporations as it pursues its mission to advance data-intensive discovery and data science education.

Endowed gifts provide a lasting foundation for SDS and for the faculty we hire in partnership with Stanford’s schools and institutes. Annual, unrestricted gifts empower SDS to respond thoughtfully and nimbly to the most compelling opportunities across SDS core activities – including the Data Science Scholars program, SDS Postdoctoral Fellows, faculty-led research centers, and curriculum development for both undergraduate and graduate courses.

Gifts to Stanford Data Science are tax-deductible under applicable rules. We are part of Stanford University’s tax exempt status as a 501(c)(3) public charity.
