Roshni Sahoo

Roshni Sahoo is a third-year Ph.D. student in Computer Science, advised by Stefan Wager. Her research focuses on problems that arise when humans and machine learning systems interact, including sampling bias, strategic behavior, and uncertainty quantification, and draws upon techniques in statistics and economics. She also mentors local high school students through Stanford FAST and co-organizes Computing and Society, a group of students dedicated to bringing more discussions about the ethical and societal implications of computing research to the Stanford community.

Previously, she majored in computer science and mathematics and minored in literature at MIT.
